A crwth is a Welsh bowed lyre.

I’d been listening to Cass Meurig’s self-titled album of crwth music, and wanted to produce something conceptually similar to how I imagined the crwth would sound if played open and stretched out/slowed right down, without actually using any crwth.

The result, made from the processed sounds of acoustic guitar, accelerometer and 19” CRT monitor, is not really close, but unintended outcomes are often the most satisfying.
