Ionawr 1af, 2005: mae chwech o bobl yn aros mewn bwthyn carreg mewn pentref ryw 10 milltir i’r de orllewin o Abergwaun, Sir Benfro. Maen nhw wedi cynllunio trip i Solfach, pentref pysgota hynod brydferth a man geni’r cantor pop-ysgafn, David Gray, ond mae hi’n bwrw glaw ac mae taith gerdded yn amhosib, heb sôn am boules neu croquet. Mae tri o’r grwp wedi dioddef colledion difrifol yn ystod sesiwn bocer y noson flaenorol a d’yn nhw ddim mewn hwyliau da. Mae’r teledu fel petai’n gweithio am ddeg eiliad bob munud. Yr unig beth sydd ar ôl i’w wneud, felly, yw cychwyn sesiwn gerddorol afreolus o fyrfyfyr, gan ddefnyddio offer cegin, poceri tân, offer garddio a beth bynnag arall sy’n digwydd bod o gwmpas ac y gellir ei daro, ei grafu neu’i rwbio yn erbyn rhywbeth arall.

1st January, 2005: six people are holed up in a stone cottage, 10 miles south west of Fishguard, West Wales. They had planned a trip to nearby Solva, picturesque fishing village and birthplace of pop-lite troubadour David Gray, but it’s raining fairly heavily, so sightseeing and hiking are out of the question, as are boules and croquet. Three of the group have lost heavily at poker, and are in no mind to continue. TV reception is fuzzy at best. The only thing left to do is initiate an undirected, freeform percussion improv session using kitchen utensils, fire pokers, gardening tools and whatever else can be found around the house that can be scraped/banged together. The dust created by whacking the living hell out of the living room armchairs causes the sessions to be terminated after an hour.
